Motif, Stone and Signature
On an Alhambra piece, the size, number of motifs and stone define the piece; Vintage, Sweet and Magic Alhambra are different sizes. Give the motif count, the stone (such as onyx, mother-of-pearl or malachite) and the gold colour in the form. Photograph the signature and serial number on the clasp or the back of a motif.
Which Pieces We Buy
We do not buy pieces that are broken, cracked or missing a stone, and that includes an Alhambra with a cracked stone. We also do not buy pieces with stones added after purchase or altered by a jeweller other than Van Cleef & Arpels.
Sale, Trade-In or Consignment
With a direct sale, we pay you by bank transfer or in cash on the day we agree the price. On consignment, your Van Cleef & Arpels piece is offered for sale at our boutique and you are paid once it sells. With a trade-in, the value of your piece is taken off the price of the item you choose from our collection.
